I Can't Take It Anymore

I received this auto-generated letter from Mr. David Strand about five minutes ago. We are dealing either with institutional madness or a diabolical attempt to drive us all to the brink of insanity. Just remember this when someone piously points an accusing finger at the blogosphere. We have no voice whatsoever, and with the cancellation of Issues, Etc., we have no vocal chord.

"What are going to do tonight, Brain?"
"Same thing we do every night, Pinky--try to take over the world!"
Makes me wonder what the game is called?

Insane is right. Its like walking into a Salvador Dali painting (ever see the old Porky Pig cartoon, Porky in Wackyland?). After reading that email you just have to wonder about the strange turns reality has to take in Mr. Strand's mind. Surely he must know it would have been better to not say anyting. Does he really think that one single soul that emailed him about the cancellation of Issues Etc. would give a rat's rear end about their "Afternoon Show"?

Anyway, Pastor Cwirla, if you read this, I have long appreciated you since hearing you years ago on the White Horse Inn. You were certainly a favorite guest on IE, and I loved it when Todd would play your sermons. I hope to hear you all back on the air, somehow, someway, soon. As a Presbyterian I can honestly say that I am not so sure you need us, but we certainly need you. SDG

Can someone explain to me when the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod became this weird?

I joked about the mauve. But it's this cluelessness that started that joke with me. I thought it was funny at first, out of touch in an endearing way. Just needed a push, I thought.

Now I am thinking the synod is run by crazy people.

I received the very same form letter from Mr. strand, although I never wrote him.

The person I DID write was Dr. Kieschnick.
